Great Wishford Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Leader to manage the day-to-day operations of our after-school provision, starting as soon as possible.
Contract: Fixed Term (until 13th February 2026). Working Hours: Part time (12 hours 30 minutes per week, 8am until 8.30am and 3.30pm until 6pm, Monday-Friday, 38 weeks per year, no Teacher Training days). Required: ASAP.
We are a caring and happy single form entry school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11 years. Located in the picturesque village of Great Wishford, Wiltshire, we have been open for over 300 years and, in that time, have built strong relationships with the local community and Great Wishford Church. Our strong Christian ethos underpins our teaching and learning and staff are dedicated to creating a learning environment where children are challenged and supported. We focus on each child’s unique potential and help them develop the resilience to keep trying, the confidence to believe they can reach their goals and have pride in themselves for who they are. The successful candidate will ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children who attend. This role involves planning and organising a range of activities suitable for primary-aged children, taking into account their interests and developmental needs.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for children;
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
- Is self-motivated, energetic and proactive and will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality education and care for all of our children;
- Has experience of working with children (4 – 11 years old) in a play / educational setting;
- Has Food handling experience and/or a Food handling certificate (or willingness to complete one);
- Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
- Is a strong team player able to support colleagues within a small team;
- Has a positive and flexible attitude;
- Can demonstrate a warm and caring approach with children;
- Is First Aid trained (advantageous).
